ABOUT ME

Born as Jessica Thomas but her stage name is Jetdope because of her initials, how fast she was on the court, and people said her music was dope. Jet was born in Savannah, Georgia (May 1, 1993) but shortly after moved to Colombia with her grandparents briefly then moved to Oklahoma City then later Dallas, Texas. Her parents were in the military met in germany so she traveled more than the average child(army brat). Being biracial(creole and colombian) Jet was very open minded to  many things. Jet always had a passion for music as a child at 8 she would always make nursery rhymes and share it with her friends. As she got older she would always watch MTV and 106andpark and listen to the latest music and learn the lyrics. Jet made her first rap in 5th grade about basketball since then she has never stopped always making girl versions to hip hop songs. Jet was inspired by Eve and Missy Elliot growing up. Being raised in the south Jet was influenced by the southern rap which is where she gets her country flow. She started recording at 16 then at 17 after a dispute with her father she moved to long beach California to live with her mother to continue to pursue her music career. In long beach is when Jet started to take music more seriously going to the studio more often and putting out videos on her youtube channel and doing features with other local known music artists. Jet has performed at the rhythm lounge in long beach which is now Cuban Petes as well as Cohiba night club. Also Jet has performed at the Los Angeles Key Club, Hollywood Studio and Grill, a bar in fullerton, and opened up for E40 at santa ana Observatory. Recently Jet managed to have her own show and had comedians open up for her at the Mirage Cafe in Bixby Knolls, Ca it was a success. There is always room for improvement and growth JetDope continues to work on her music career and gaining loyal fans.
